The creative problem
Faith-related news and media spans theology, church life, persecution, culture, archaeology, entertainment, and technology. The challenge is to build a repeatable format that respects serious subjects while allowing a distinct creative voice.
The approach
The project explores a research-to-script-to-video workflow for Christian news briefings and commentary. Rev. Dern Wright is an original comedic character within that broader experiment, not a real clergy member or source of factual authority.
The editorial standard
Research, commentary, satire, and character performance should remain visibly distinct. Factual claims need sources. Creative framing should not blur the status of real events, people, churches, or organizations. AI-assisted production must remain reviewable by a person before release.
Current boundary
This is a prototype description. No newsroom, ministry, distribution program, or active public channel is represented here. Any future names, character language, theology, sourcing practices, and media rights will require review before release.
What comes next
The next useful artifact is a reviewed pilot format that separates sourced reporting, analysis, and character segments, with a documented human editorial check before any publication decision.
